Shopping carts are a dime a dozen, but all that’s about to change. The Cadillac of shopping carts is the new (open source) cart Magento. Never before has there been such a well built and SEO friendly shopping cart. And to top it off you don’t have to pay to use it.

One of the greatest challenges in SEO is working with shopping carts. many of them were designed with a complete lack of search engine friendliness in mind.Some carts I’ve seen create duplicates of every page, dynamic URL’s or content and some even without an option to add meta data. Suffice to say this isn’t ideal. But Magento allows full control of URL structure, alt and meta data and built in Google analytics and automatic sitemap generator.
